Personally, I'd rather go to the Davis St location, as the clerks there, even on busy / hectic days, will at least try to 'start fresh' with the next person in line, no matter who just left their queue.
Outrageus. Relaxed to the point of a grinding stop. I mailed a Priority envelope to Springfield, IL with time sensitive documentation, usually takes a DAY from any normal post office in the suburbs. Obviously, these employees dont know how to read so they put it on the truck going to a sorting facility in Wisconsin. Then it took a scenic route to another sorting facility in MO. Its been a week and the package is still on the way.
One of the most friendly and helpful staff of any post office branch I've been to. Always courteous and welcoming.
The closing time stated for Tuesday is incorrect - they are open until 6 p.m.
It seems that if they recognize you, you're "ok", but regardless how courteous you are, if they don't know you (as part of the well-to-do neighborhood clientele) you get condescending attitudes, or that their efforts are burdensome.. this has been different clerks throughout different years, even on basic transactions.
The slowest most inefficient service I’ve ever experienced anywhere. If at all possible, go to another post office, one NOT in Evanston.
I've used this location for convenience when in the area, but not a local / resident, more than a few times in several years.
